Monday, 10 September 2007

Janos is the 2007 European Tour Champion!

The Tour included 10 events in which Janos took his first win in Scotland, was second three times and once third. He missed the event final only once though being the longest in that competition.  Alltogether Janos had the longest drive in two events.

In European Final that was held on 9th of September Janos was third after Swedens Patrik Andersson and Englands Adam Stacey.

Stef Gressel's season is over
Tuesday, 07 August 2007

After the Finnish event Stef Gressel broke his wirst in off course accident. The season is over, but he was very lucky and it's good to see him long drive next season. The accident looked very bad at first, but after spending a night in hospital the doctors were suprised that the broken wrist was all there was.

Stef, who was given a new nickname "Stunt Man"  promised to come to watch the European Finals on 9th October. Can't wait to see him back in action next season!

 Get well soon Stef!

Janos leading with 11 points !
Saturday, 04 August 2007

Janos took a fourth place in Finland's event and decreased his Order of Merit lead to 11 points. Paul Glazier didn't get in to finals and took only two points. Glazier and Adam Stacey are now tied second with 47 points, trying to reach Janos' 58 points. Two events to go and there's Glazier and Stacey who can still beat Janos. Stef Gressel was also one of the players who could take the lead from Janos, but due to an off course accident where he broke his wrist, he's season is over. Hope to see him back in action next season.

Joe Miller won the competition with a respectful 355 meters, before Adam Stacey's 341 meters. Patrik Andersson beat Janos with one meter and Stef Gresel by two meters. Johan Tumba hit all balls out of bounds and was sixth. Joe Miller won 3000 euros (2nd 2000, 3rd 1500, 4th 750, 5th 400 and 6th 350), thanks to competiotion sponsors Audi, Re/Max, DSV and Lujakoti. This was the biggest money event so far in European Tour.

Janos is the new Finnish Champion, being the only Finnish player to make the finals.
